Heyo! We’re back! Last month, I accepted a job in St. Louis, which is 3 hours away from where I previously lived. Having not moved in 3 years, I didn’t realize how much time it takes up before, during, and after moving. But now we’re all settled in and there’s only maybe one or two boxes of things still laying around needing places to live. (But I’m too lazy to mess with ’em right now…..kinda)

One of the coolest things about St. Louis is the free zoo, which features a super-rad penguin house. Highly recommend it! Apparently, they let the penguins wander around the zoo grounds in December (or so I’ve heard)…

After thinking it over a bit, I decided to switch to a weekly update schedule for Fizzlebit for the foreseeable future. I want to post two pages a week, but with several side projects going plus a Day Job, it’s just not happening on time as much as I’d like. For now, Fizzlebit will update once a week on Mondays.

BUT! I still have a comic update for you today, in the form of one of my side projects. Below are the first five pages of The Swimmin’ Mole, a story written by the wonderful Leighton Conner and penciled/inked by me. It’s an all-ages comic about a mole who loves to swim! He loves his fish girlfriend but must impress her father, so adventuring he goes! There’s many more pages left to draw and I’m stepping away from the digital-drawing sphere to create all of these pages on traditional Bristol board with hand-lettering. (Ah, now the need-for-more-time becomes more apparent!)
